Mr. Behot is a Senior Partner and has been associated with the firm since 1976. He is based in the firm's Hackensack office. Mr. Behot serves as counsel to a number of New Jersey businesses and corporations, as well as New Jersey real estate concerns. He is also counsel to several major commercial banks in New Jersey representing those banks in all aspects of counseling, loan transactions, and recovery of assets.
Mr. Behot's areas of specialization are in real estate, transactional and financing matters. He has represented parties to a wide variety of transactions and projects including the acquisition, disposition and development of real estate, the acquisition and disposition of corporations and businesses, commercial real estate lending, equipment financing, asset based lending and general commercial lending. He serves as counsel to several corporations including not-for-profit corporations, counselling on a wide variety of issues, including corporate governance.
A graduate of Lehigh University and Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Behot served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard J. Hughes, Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Mr. Behot has served as a trustee of the Gill St. Bernards School, Gladstone, New Jersey since September 1995. Since September 1997, he has served as a Chair of the School's Board of Trustees.
Mr. Behot is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars.
